Summer Scheduling THIS sunday (and my 1st publication!)…

Hello everyone!  I just want to give you all a heads up that I am going to be scheduling my summer sessions (June, July, and August) starting this Sunday, April 3rd, at 8 pm.  You will find my availability here on the blog.  Please refer to the brown little sliding tab (upper left corner of page) that says “book a session.”  Although other dates may open up along the way, this is where we’ll start for now.  I also wanted to give you a heads up on some changes that will occur as of June 2011:

1.  Session fees will be due upon booking.  Once you book a session with me, your session fee will be due in full within 1 week of booking.  If your fee is not to me by that point, your date will be opened up for others to consider.  The reason that I’m doing this is because I have had  several clients cancel a session with me last minute and I don’t have enough time to fill them.  I am constantly turning down new clients that I don’t have enough sessions for.  Once they don’t see a time, they often look elsewhere, making it hard for me to fill last minute cancelations.    Starting June 1st, if you cancel your session with me, only 50% of it will be refundable, unless we can find a new time in the same season as your scheduled session.  In that case, your session fee will just be transferred to your new date.

2.  All session fees will be taxed.  I know this isn’t a big change, but I thought I would mention it.

3.  Online galleries will only be available for 10 days once uploaded ($20 fee for additional 10 days needed).  I just want you to get your pictures up and on the wall before they are outdated by the time you actually get your order.

Okay, now that that is over with, I’m sure you’ll be happy to know that I’m keeping all session and print prices the same for summer 2011.  I truly look forward to working with you and your families.  I will be traveling to Minneapolis and Chicago area this summer and will be announcing booking details for those sessions separately.

On a brighter note, I’ve been meaning to share on the blog for the longest time an image of the magazine that one of my pictures was featured in.  It was not only featured, but it was the front page!  I was so excited when the editor of ParentNews Guide contacted me out of the blue and asked if they could use one of my pictures for their magazine cover.  Yay for my first publication!  Sorry about the long and quite boring post, next time it won’t be all business!  Looking forward to some more sessions this weekend to share with you all.

Blessings, Kimmy

Yay!! I seriously (until yesterday when we chatted) thought you just put the magazine on the floor and took a photo! I now know it’s your backdrop 😉
